About Kits Drop
Kits Drop is an online store for people who like making things with their hands. We stock DIY and hobby build kits across the crafts we love: scale model and wooden kits, electronics and STEM kits, craft and terrarium kits, leathercraft kits, hobby paints and finishing supplies, precision tools and adhesives, spare parts, and gift sets that bring a project together in one box. We are based in Summerville, South Carolina, and we ship across the United States.
Why we started
We started Kits Drop because too many hobby kits arrive as a frustrating bag of mystery parts with a photocopied sheet of instructions. We thought a kit should be a pleasure from the moment you open the box: parts sorted and checked, instructions you can actually follow, and a finished result worth putting on a shelf. So we curate kits we would happily build ourselves, describe them honestly, and stand behind them.
Our range
We carry kits for every level, from a first build for a curious beginner to detailed projects for seasoned makers. For modellers that means scale aircraft, cars, ships, trains and architecture. For makers and students it means solder-your-own electronics, robotics and microcontroller kits. For crafters it means terrariums, candles, resin, embroidery and more, plus full leathercraft kits with real, pre-cut leather. We round it out with the paints, tools, adhesives and spare parts every build eventually needs, and gift sets that make it easy to give someone a whole project at once.
Limited drops
As our name suggests, alongside our core range we release limited ‘drops’ — small, curated runs of new or seasonal kits. When a drop sells out it is gone until we can bring it back, which keeps the range fresh and gives our regulars something new to look forward to. Drops are announced on the site and, if you opt in, by email.

We keep the catalogue curated rather than endless, describe each kit plainly with the part count, materials and skill level that actually matter, and price fairly. When you are choosing between two kits or are not sure a project suits your experience, our team is a short email away. Orders are packed and dispatched quickly from within the United States, with tracking on every shipment.
